General Memorandum of Understanding Between
The Faculty of Social and Political Science, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta and Graduate School of Public Administration, Korea University

In order to advance friendly relations between the Indonesia and Korea, The Faculty of Social and Political Science, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, and Graduate School of Public Administration, Korea University join in the following general agreement on the promotion of education and academic exchanges between the two universities.

Both institutions will make every reasonable effort to encourage direct contact and research cooperation between their faculty members, departments, and research institutes, to the extent that they are able, under provisions of this general agreement, and endeavor to cooperate in the fields with which both parties are concerned.

Both universities agree on the following general forms of cooperation:
1. Joint research activities and publications
2. Exchange of academic materials and academic publications
3. Exchange of faculty members for research, lectures, and discussions
4. Encouragement of the exchange of graduate and undergraduate students for research,
learning and internship.

Themes of joint activities and conditions for utilizing the results and arrangements for specific visits, exchanges and other forms of cooperation will be negotiated for each specific case.

Both universities understand that all the financial arrangements should be negotiated and will depend upon the availability of funds.

It is understood that the implementation of this general agreement will commence on the signing date, that this agreement will continue thereafter for three years, and that this agreement will be subject to revision or modification by mutual agreement. The terms of change of the agreement will be discussed by the representatives of the two universities no less than six months prior to the change of the agreement.
